Two Days In Amsterdam With Your Escort

25 June, 2024

The capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam, is world-famous for good reason - tourists are drawn to the city for its narrow houses, winding canals, stunning history, and of course, coffee shops and the red light district. The key mode of transport is cycling, and culture lovers will be fascinated by the Museum District , which houses the Van Gogh Museum, works by Rembrandt and Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum, and modern art at the Stedelijk.

You have to chosen to stay in De Pijp, Amsterdam’s Latin Quarter, near the museum district with easy access to the centre. Amsterdam is extremely well-connected and accessible due to its trams. Amsterdam is just over a one hour flight from London, making it perfect for a weekend break. You have decided to stay at five star hotel Pestana Amsterdam Riverside and arrive quickly after your early-ish arrival at Schipol Airportl. It’s easy to get to your hotel from the airport by tram, but you take a taxi.

The hotel is in a pair of 19th century Neo-Renaissance-style buildings and two modern annexes on the banks of the Amstel River. The Cocoon Wellness Spa at Pestana Amsterdam Riverside Hotel includes an indoor swimming pool. Wanting a view of the river, you booked the executive room. It has a king size bed, and a freestanding bathtub,

You meet your premium Amsterdam escort in the lobby. It’s warm in the city in June, but that’s not why you feel hot under the collar. She gives you a beaming smile as she introduces herself and you relax, although you’re still finding it hard to believe that she’s even more beautiful than her pictures.

You decide to go out for brunch. It’s a leisurely and scenic 20 minute walk to Oeuf, an egg-themed breakfast and lunch cafe. You order a truffle cheese omelette and your escort has a smashed avocado sandwich.

The cafe is a short walk from Katsu, a cosy and relaxed coffee shop laid out like a living room full of locals. You had asked Rachael’s International for a girl who smokes, but now it’s time you’re a little anxious. You aren’t sure what to try, and your escort expertly orders California kush. Well, when in Rome… Alcoholic drinks aren’t available here as they don’t tend to mix well, so you sip a Coke as your escort enjoys the Dutch drink Chocomel.

Newly relaxed, an hour passes easily as you chat. From Katsu, you head to the nearby Rijksmuseum in the museum square. The Rijksmuseum is the national museum of the Netherlands dedicated to Dutch arts and history. Here, you see works by famed Dutch painter Rembrandt including one of his most popular works, The Night Watch.

You then decide to visit the nearby small modern art museum, Moco. The independent museum exhibits Jean-Michel Basquiat, Banksy, Icy & Sot, JR, KAWS, Keith Haring, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Yayoi Kusama, THE KID, Andy Warhol, Studio Irma, and more. There is also a garden with art installations to explore. You prefer modern art to Rembrandt.

It’s time to head back to get ready to head out for dinner. In this time, you also get to know your escort better - a lot better.

For dinner, you made reservations at Graham’s Kitchen, a 10 minute walk from your hotel, which is voted on TripAdvisor as the third best restaurant in the city. It’s a casual fine dining restaurant and your escort holds your hand as you arrive. You both have the six course tasting menu with wine pairings. It’s easy to talk to your escort, as the wine and conversation flow. You are surprised at how natural it feels, given you only met a couple of hours ago. Your escort hasn’t tried this restaurant before, but says she’s definitely come back.

It’s late when you leave and you’re both a little tipsy when you leave.

You sleep deeply and wake refreshed. In the morning you head to the famous Albert Cuyp market! This is the largest and oldest market in the city. There are 260 stalls selling everything you can think of - but fresh stroopwaffels for breakfast are a must.

You take the tram to Vondelpark, enjoying the good weather. Founded in 1865, this is the largest urban park in Amsterdam and has over 12 million visitors a year. You decide to head to the Anne Frank House, upon your escort’s recommendation as something everyone should do at least once. The museum-house is where Anne Frank and her family hid from the Nazis in WW2, before their discovery. You’re glad you visited but reflect that you hope you never have to go again.

Hungry now, you head to Maijard Smashburgers which serves premium quality burgers. You're glad of your choice when your escort orders a huge burger too and devours it. You think it might be in poor taste to visit the red light district with your escort, but you do want to visit the Van Gogh Museum back at the museum district.

The museum has the world's largest collection of works by Dutch painter, featuring masterpieces such as Sunflowers, The Potato Eaters, Almond Blossom and The Bedroom. You buy a print to take home.

All too soon, it’s time for your flight home. You do kiss your escort goodbye, and hope that you see her again - there’s still so much to do in this stunning city.
